SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — On Sunday, Black Lives Matter of Springfield held their third annual BLM Solidarity Procession. The group hoped this event would bring the community together to grieve lives lost and celebrate local students. They said this event is meant to honor those who have died at the hands of law enforcement. Three winners of the organization’s scholarship program were also recognized at the event.
