Governor JB Pritzker, D-Ill. , on Monday signed a new law that amends the Illinois Human Rights Act to make housing more accessible to families with nonwage income. HB2775bans discrimination in housing selection based on source of income, including non-employment income such as Section 8 vouchers or disability payments.
