The Phoenix Center has opened a new LGBTQ+ retail store and resource space in downtown Springfield. “This is a way to expand into downtown Springfield and also have more of a retail presence,” said Dean Mentjes, President of the Phoenix Center’s Board of Directors. ‘Out on Adams,’ located at 213 East Adams Street, will benefit the LGBTQ+ community across central Illinois and function as a space where anyone can come for support, to find help, or even to purchase a pride flag or two.
