Just days after this year’s Illinois State Fair ended, fair manager Kevin Gordon has retired.
A statement from the Illinois Department of Agriculture says Gordon has been a “mainstay” of the fair for two decades, steering it through both its most successful and challenging years, and says the department wishes Gordon well in his retirement. No reason for given for why Gordon chose to step down at this time.
Attendance figures from this year’s State Fair have not yet been released.
