Governor JB Pritzker signing legislation to build on the Rebuild Illinois capital plan. Under the HB 253, the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is required to establish a transportation performance program to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of Illinois’ transportation system. The goal is to also save taxpayer dollars by developing a performance-based project selection process to make sure Illinois roads and bridges remain in good condition.
