Bill aims to prevent isolation in long-term care facilities

Support is growing for a bill that would allow loved ones to see their relatives in long-term care facilities during a state of emergency. Members of the Caregivers for Compromise group were out in front of the Illinois State Capitol on Friday to advocate for the bill. “My dad is a long-term care resident and for the last year, he’s been locked away like a prisoner,” Illinois resident Jodie Kubilius said.
