CHICAGO — Chicago Public Schools told parents across the district to keep their children home Wednesday — even if their kids have been attending pre-K or special cluster classes in recent weeks.
The announcement comes as the Chicago Teachers Union and the district remain deadlocked on a plan for returning to in-person learning.
The union told its membership on Tuesday that they should be prepared to work from home Wednesday and prepare to strike Thursday if the district refuses to let them continue working from home.
This is a developing story.
