Secretary of State and State Librarian, Jesse White has awarded upwards of $340,000 in Grant funding as part of Radio Information Service (RIS). The funding comes as support for a group 10 radio stations whose mission is to ensure that residents of Illinois, who are unable to read standard print material, have equal access to information that is published.
Of those receiving funding, two are located right here in the Riverbend, including Lewis and Clark Community College and MindsEye Radio.
The Big Z spoke with Deputy Press Secretary, Rachel French, who highlights the importance of the program.
