62 Cook County residents in their fifties tested positive for COVID-19 on August 19, according to numbers being reported by the Illinois Department of Public Health. In total, there have been 8,282 positive cases reported in Cook County among residents in their fifties, accounting for 16.3 percent of all cases in the county. Through August 19, Cook County has reported a total of 50,902 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, 2,148 of which have ended with the victim’s death.
