State Rep. Monica Bristow (D-Alton) and a few other locally elected officials will be hosting a “Community Shred Day” on Saturday August 8th at Granite City High School.

Residents can bring up to two boxes of paper documents containing personal or financial information to be shredded and disposed of efficiently and properly.

Bristow says many community shred days were cancelled over the previous few months, so they expect a decent sized turnout for the day.

The Shred Day runs from 9 a.m. until Noon on August 19th at Granite City High School located at 3101 Madison Avenue in Granite City. For more information contact Bristow’s office at 618-465-5900.
