ALTON — The consumer watchdog group Citizens Utility Board (CUB) and state Rep. Monica Bristow, D-Alton, will host a free, online home energy savings workshop to help residents cut their utility costs. Recently-approved consumer protections — such as bill assistance and flexible payment plans — for Illinois utility customers struggling to pay their bills as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and economic crisis will also be explained.
