ELGIN — Most of us can deal with colder weather, even if we complain about it. But for some in our community, winter presents real challenges. Rep. Anna Moeller has sent out this appeal to the community to help the less fortunate:
As it gets colder outside and winter’s grip sets in, some in our community struggle to stay warm. State Rep. Anna Moeller is asking for the community to help.
Rep. Moeller, D-Elgin, is again offering her annual Winter Clothing Drive in the 43rd House District throughout the month of December. She is asking for donations of new or gently used coats, hats, scarves, gloves and boots at five locations in the district:
· Rep. Moeller’s Constituent Services Office (164 Division St., Suite 103, Elgin)
· Taylor Family Branch YMCA (50 N. McLean Blvd, Elgin)
· Elgin City Hall (150 Dexter Ct, Elgin)
· The Centre (100 Symphony Way, Elgin)
· Carpentersville Fire Station #2 (305 Lake Marion Road, Carpentersville)
"It’s easy with the hectic holiday season for us to forget about those in need, but these needs are very real all around us," Moeller said. "If you can help us help others stay warm this winter, please take time to visit one of our locations and make a donation. Thank you to our locations and everyone who participates to make a difference for our communities in these coming weeks."
