ELGIN – State Rep. Anna Moeller wants to help constituents in Elgin get an important health screening.
Moeller, D-Elgin, is offering a Diabetes Awareness Screening on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Gail Borden Library 2nd Floor Elgin Room (270 N. Grove Ave in Elgin).
Staff from Walgreens will be on hand to provide free blood glucose screenings, answer questions and provide referrals for follow-up care as needed.
"It’s easy for us to get too busy to see the doctor and take care of ourselves as we should. But our health really matters, and I hope this event will help remind people to take time to stay on top of the warning signs before a disease like diabetes can create lifelong problems," Moeller said.
Questions? Contact Rep. Moeller’s district office at 847-841-7130 or staterepmoeller@gmail.com.
