BROOKFIELD – The League of Women Voters of the La Grange Area (LWVLGA) will sponsor “A Talk with Rep. Michael J. Zalewski of the 23rd District in the General Assembly” at 7 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Brookfield Public Library, 3609 Grand Boulevard.
Zalewski’s information should be important to all Illinoisans as he was a driving force behind most of the legislation that passed this spring. Illinois achieved a budget for the first time in several years, casino gambling will be expanded, the graduated income tax known as the “Fair Tax” will be on the ballot in November 2020 and sports betting facilities have been expanded.
Zalewski has been in the Illinois House since December 2008 and can answer questions about the above issues, as well as other issues that Illinoisans may have on their minds.
