Former Lt. Gov. Evelyn Sanguinetti of Wheaton, the lone Republican in the contest to take Casten’s seat so far, raised nearly $104,000 since announcing her candidacy in April. Sanguinetti was the running mate of defeated GOP Gov. Bruce Rauner. Rauner and his wife, Diana, each gave Sanguinetti the maximum $5,600 contribution — $2,800 for the primary and $2,800 for the general.
