Some state senators want kids in school at an even younger age than they are required to right now. Democrat Kimberly Lightford says early childhood education is critical and she wants all kids in school by the age of five.
Others wonder if all five year olds are ready for school. The law would be signed the new requirement would go into effect for the 2020 school year.
