SURVEY: Graduated Income Tax Key Issue In Governor’s Race
A new statewide survey shows support for a graduated income tax one of the major issues in this year’s race for governor.
The survey conducted by the University of Illinois Springfield finds 57% support moving to a system where those who make more pay a higher tax rate… while 36% prefer the current flat tax system. The poll also finds nearly 90% support for mandatory mental health background checks for gun buyers, and 58% support a ban on assault rifles and semi-automatic weapons.
The margin of error for the poll is approximately plus-or-minus four-percent.
