Letter to the Editor | Release backed up Londrigan’s point

Betsy Dirksen Londrigan has cited 11 occasions on which Rodney Davis voted to eliminate or weaken protections for people with pre-existing conditions.

The press release put out by the Davis campaign in response contained a link to a FactCheck.org article called “The Pre-existing Conditions Debate,” which I encourage readers to check out. That article outlined the ways in which the Republicans’ AHCA bill (which Davis voted for) would weaken protections for people with pre-existing conditions. In other words, it backed up Londrigan’s point.

Is this, at long last, a real-life example of Davis reaching across the aisle to find bipartisan consensus? Or did he just think we wouldn’t notice?
