Less than two months before the election, Republican State Representative Jerry Long is facing serious allegations.

“CapitolFax.com” was the first to report that the House Republican Organization was withdrawing support from Rep. Long’s campaign. The move was made after a sexual harassment claim against the Republican lawmaker. 

WLPO has reached out to the campaign of Long along with his chief of staff but haven’t gotten a response. The NewsTribune did obtain a statement from Long in which he indicates he will not resign. He calls it a “difference of opinion.”

Long’s longtime website is no longer accessible while a separate website with his name in it promoted by his Facebook page takes you to a realtor in Kansas with the name of Jerry Long.
