Cook County Clerk David Orr has been the person to ask for almost 30 years. Orr, who was also interim mayor of Chicago for just a few days following the death of Harold Washington in 1987, is quitting his post as Cook County Clerk at the end of the year, but he says there’s still plenty to do.

Morning Shift sits down with Orr for an interview about his career, his efforts to bust the Chicago “machine,” and what he plans to do in the last months of his position.
